Reaction Time

Round: 0/5

Wait for green, then click as fast as you can. Best of 5 rounds.

How to play Reaction Time

The Reaction Time test measures how fast you respond to a visual cue. Wait for the screen to change, then click or tap as quickly as you can. It runs a best-of-five, reporting each attempt in milliseconds and your average so you can gauge your reflexes.

  1. 1 Start the test and wait for the colour to change.
  2. 2 Click or tap the instant it changes.
  3. 3 Do not jump early — a false start does not count.
  4. 4 Complete five rounds to see your average reaction time.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good reaction time?

A typical human visual reaction time is around 200–250 milliseconds. Anything consistently under 200 ms is very quick.

Why did my early click not count?

Clicking before the cue changes is a false start. The test waits for a genuine reaction rather than a guess.

How can I improve my reaction time?

Stay relaxed and focused, watch for the change rather than anticipating it, and make sure you are well-rested — fatigue slows reflexes.

Why does my reaction time vary?

Attention, fatigue, and even your device input lag all affect the result, which is why an average over several tries is more reliable.
